I'm a content produser?

After reading this weeks readings I learnt that I am a content produser and in fact everyone is a
content produser in some way.

I learnt that anything we choose to interact with and decide to change existing content online makes us content produsers. Such things may include blog posts, Memes, fan fiction or art. Not that hard to understand right? That leads me to think what was my role as a content produser in the context of the major project for this module?

I think my role as a content produser was thinking of a particular topic that I was interested in as my contribution to the project. I chose to research fast fashion and sustainable fashion and conversed with my group and everyone was happy with my choice. We discussed multiple topics beforehand but decided we were happy with the topics we chose and helped each other elaborate on key points we were coming up with. I read the projects brief again and thought to myself 'How can millennial's influence our planet to be more sustainable?'. Although there are a number of ways to be more sustainable in order to benefit the world I chose sustainable clothing as I feel I can resonate with this topic myself. In recent months I have tried my best to stop online shopping and to turn to charity shops and make regular use out of the online marketplaces such as Depop. I took pieces from news articles and interviews on the topic I chose and condensed them into my own words on Microsoft Word.

Overall I am happy with the topic I decided to produce as there was a lot of information to back up my own thoughts and ideas which made producing content easier for me. When I am producing content I am sharing it with an audience especially with the power of social media nowadays, people may also produce my content and it becomes a cycle known as produsage.

Team Progression Take Three

For our final project meeting we communicated through Facebook messenger and used Google Drive to share our final slideshows with each other. Each team member had put in equal amounts of effort and it was evident we had put in the hard work. I spent a few hours trying to create my slideshow that my laptop supported and I saw this as a challenge for me personally as my laptop wasn't cooperating with me. I over came this challenge after a few hours and had practiced my piece that I had written on Microsoft Word beforehand. I created a slideshow using various images to help aid what I talked about in my piece for the group. I found my pictures on various newspaper articles online and decided to put them into the presentation as visuals can aid the information given during presentations - a tip I learnt from the last presentation. What influences my online persona?

Our modern world is completely different from the world that existed many years ago. The knowledge we have of ourselves and our whole entire universe has increased. Technological developments have revolutionized the way we communicate with each other. Everyone has their own 'personal brand' while not many of us have consciously cultivated a brand, we have one, nonetheless. In our society nowadays we can choose to guide and cultivate the brand, or we can allow it to be defined on our behalf. In today's blog post I will explore what factors influence our online personas and in doing so how this affects how others may perceive us. Becoming friendly with SecondLife

The last time I explored destinations they were very remote and deserted so this time I decided to explore places full of life! In today's blog-post I will document my experiences after meeting three other avatars in this virtual reality world, I chose destinations that had a few people already there as my experiences would be more interesting and memorable. At this destination I met another avatar and we had a nice chat about who we were and why we were both on SecondLife. She explained to me she struggles with anxiety and felt SecondLife was the place she could come to, to interact with others as she struggles in real life.
